Are Vitamins and minerals important to quickly lose weight? YES!
Many have heard that minerals are important. But what exactly are minerals, and what are the sources?
Minerals are elements found in nature, and many are important building blocks for our body.
Why do we need minerals?
The minerals are part of the skeleton and in many of the enzymes that regulate the biological processes in the body. Minerals are vital substances. Just as with vitamins, the body will react with obvious symptoms if you are unable to enough of them through diet. One reason may be that you do not eat enough food overall – or that the food you eat does not contain enough minerals. Food that is grown in washed soil contains less minerals than food that is grown in mineral soil.
What is the difference between the minerals and trace elements? Minerals is a common term and often divided into a group that we need a relatively large amount of, such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and sodium, while the trace elements / trace minerals used as a name for minerals, we only need in small amounts. This is, for example, iron, zinc, selenium and chromium. The first group comprises both as building blocks in the skeleton and in other tissues, while trace minerals are also seen on such in enzyme systems and blood cells.
