To maximize the effectiveness of this walking, you have to make sure that the heart rate remains relatively high. (Are you in such good shape that the heart rate drops significantly when you go over to brisk walking, you should set the treadmill so that you go in the uphill). If you choose the expanded this variant, you will both burn a lot during the workout and get a good after combustion.

Going for a walk may sound a bit boring and low-intensity, but in fact it can to be a very good complement to strength training and interval training when you are on a diet.
